This page explains our position in plain language. It is not legal advice, and it does not replace a signed agreement. If you have a contract with us, that contract controls.
This policy explains what Lunar Engineering, LLC (“Lunar Engineering,” “we,” “us”) collects when you visit lunareng.com or contact us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Lunar Engineering is a Georgia limited liability company based in Kathleen, Georgia.
This policy covers this site and our client services. Our products have their own policies: see Parlor’s Privacy Policy andLunarMD’s Privacy Policy.
What we collect
- What you send us — when you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, company (if you give one), and whatever you write in your message.
- Basic technical data — our host and network provider record standard request information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, to serve the site and protect it from abuse.
That is the whole list. We do not ask for payment details on this site, and we do not buy contact lists.
No analytics, no ad tracking
This site does not run analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts, and we do not set cookies of our own. Our network provider, Cloudflare, may set a security cookie to tell real visitors from bots. That is it — there is no profile of you being built here.
How we use what you send
We use the information in your message to:
- Reply to you and answer your question.
- Understand what you need and figure out whether we can help.
- Prepare a proposal, and keep a record of our conversation if we work together.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We will not add you to a mailing list from a contact-form message.
Client project data
When you hire us, our work often means access to your systems and the data in them — customer records, bookings, invoices, and similar. We treat that data as yours. We use it only to do the work you hired us for, we limit access to the people doing that work, and we hand it back or delete it as the engagement agreement says.
Confidentiality, security obligations, and data handling for a project are set in that project’s signed agreement. Where a project involves protected health information, we work under a business associate agreement (BAA) as required by HIPAA before that data is shared with us.
Who we share information with
We share information only as needed to run our business. That can include:
- Service providers — our form-delivery provider (FormSubmit), email provider, and our hosting and network providers (Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare) — who may only use the data to provide that service to us.
- Legal reasons — when we must respond to a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our clients and our business.
- Business transfers — if Lunar Engineering is involved in a merger or sale, information may transfer as part of that deal.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry messages for as long as we may reasonably need them — typically up to two years after our last contact — so we can pick a conversation back up. Records tied to a signed engagement are kept for as long as that agreement and our tax and legal obligations require. You can ask us to delete your inquiry sooner.
How we protect information
We use reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS everywhere), limited access on a need-to-know basis, and multi-factor authentication on the accounts that matter. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep information safe and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email[email protected] and we will help. If we hold your information on behalf of a client — for example, as part of a project — we will point your request to that client, who decides what happens to their data.
Children
This site is meant for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business changes. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
